چکیده

Although meat and fish are prized delicacy in Nigeria, they can also spread germs that multidrug resistant (MDR). Moreover, research on these MDR bacteria from Awkametropolies is scarce. Thus, the bacteriological characteristics antibiogram profiles of E coli isolated were studied this investigation. Twenty different samples sites gathered microbiologically examined. Standard microbiological procedures used to conduct a total viable count, coliform bacterial characterisation, an identification bacteria. The results showed "meat" had both highest count (2.1105 6.2105 cfu/g) (3.4105 7.7105 cfu/g). In all, 78 85 microorganisms found smoked beef, respectively. disc diffusion technique was determine antibiotic sensitivity pattern. Gentamicin, Amoxycillin/clavulanate, Streptomycin, Cloxacillin, Erythromycin, Chloramphenicol, Cotrimoxazole, Tetracycline, Penicillin, Ciprofloxacin, Ofloxacin, Levofloxacin, Ceftriaxone, Amoxycillin, vancomycin antibiotics E. most sensitive to, with rates 92. findings current study demonstrate fluoroquinolones efficient treating infections, including those caused by methicillin-resistant strains, setting.

Phylogenetic analysis of Escherichia coli strains isolated from human samples

Escherichia coli (E. coli) is a normal inhabitant of the gastrointestinal tract of vertebrates, including humans. Phylogenetic analysis has shown that E. coli is composed of four main phylogenetic groups (A, B1, B2 and D). Group A and B1 are generally associated with commensals, whereas group B2 is associated with extra-intestinal pathotypes. Most enteropathogenic isolates, however, are assigne...

Identification of Escherichia coli O157: H7 from Slaughtered Beef in Mashhad Using Biochemical and Molecular Methods

Background and Aims: Escherichia coli O157:H7 is one of the main causes of transmitted diseases by food, including meat and meat products. The purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence of E. coli O157:H7 contamination in Mashhad with the detection of rfbE gene. Materials and Methods: For this study, 148 slaughtered beef samples from Mashhad (spring to winter, 2018) were randomly ...

isolation and molecular characterization of non-sorbitol fermenting escherichia coli isolated from fresh ground beef

conclusions the observed results indicated the necessity of good care in abattoir, butcheries and during food distribution, mainly ground beef. also, a zero tolerance policy could be useful to control e. coli o157 in meat products nationwide. results overall, 1.5% of ground beef samples were contaminated with the o157 e. coli strain meanwhile 1% of samples contained the o157:h7 strain and 0.5% ...

Isolation of Escherichia coli O157:H7 from ground beef samples collected from beef markets, using conventional culture and polymerase chain reaction in Mashhad, northeastern Iran

Escherichia coli O157:H7 is an important human pathogen causing haemorrhagic colitis, haemolyticuraemic syndrom and thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. In this study, 100 ground beef samples were collected randomly from beef markets in June 2004. For isolation of the bacteria, samples were firstly enriched in modified trypticase soy broth, followed by plating onto sorbitol MacConkey agar sup...

Characterization of Multi-antibiotic-resistant Escherichia coli Isolated from Beef Cattle in Japan

The emergence of multiple-antibiotic-resistance bacteria is increasing, which is a particular concern on livestock farms. We previously isolated 1,347 antimicrobial-resistant (AMR) Escherichia coli strains from the feces of beef cattle on 14 Japanese farms. In the present study, the genetic backgrounds and phylogenetic relationships of 45 AMR isolates were characterized by the chromosome phylot...
